Tara Sickmeier is the CEO of Meraki, an independent entertainment media company that creates, acquires, and produces content across multiple sectors, as well as Meraki Finance Partners, a finance company for entertainment.
Tony Award-nominated, Academy Award-qualifying, and GLAAD Award-winning with experience on 100+ productions with a combined gross of over $5 billion. Productions include Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, Spotlight, The Social Network, American Horror Story, and The Walking Dead. Developed productions with Plan B, Brad Pitt, Tony Kushner, and Paul Schrader. Sickmeier adapted Stuck from Gracie Award-winning writer Jessica Goldberg’s play, and wrote/directed the Oscar-qualifying short film, Niagara Falls. Formerly Head of Production & Content at music management 600 Volt, served as CBDO at StarMetrics, Advisory Council to Media Storm, and is a member of the Stars Collective, Producers Guild of America, and Women In Film.
Sickmeier holds a BA in Film & Electronics Media from California State University, Long Beach, and a Screenwriting Certificate from UCLA.
